Hello and welcome to my first blog post. My name is Holly Clark and I am the very proud founder and director or Blooming Mind.
I live on the Wirral, aka the paradise peninsula! Home to James Bond; Paul Hollywood and the longest promenade in Britain.
Fun fact about the Wirral - Birkenhead Park is considered inspiration for New York's Central Park.. I live here with my husband, two kids, Eddie the dog and Custard the cat!
Blooming Mind delivers targeted consultancy, and bespoke and accredited courses. Two of these are Mental Health First Aid and Suicide First Aid.
Ever since the loss of my brother to suicide, working towards creating suicide safer workplaces and communities has been incredibly important to me. Through my deliveries, consultancy and blogs you can expect to see me trying to:
Increase awareness: Through sharing knowledge about mental health and wellbeing, I can help you to increase your understanding of the different types of mental health conditions, their symptoms, and possible treatments. This can help you recognise when someone you know might be struggling with their mental health and provide them with the support they need.
Share coping strategies: By learning about different coping strategies and self-care techniques, you can improve our own mental health and wellbeing. Learning about mental health and wellbeing can also help you to identify any potential issues you might be experiencing.
Break down stigma: There is still a lot of stigma surrounding mental health, and reading about it can help break down these barriers and reduce the negative attitudes that many people have towards it.
Support others: By reading about mental health and wellbeing, you can learn more about how to support friends, family members, or colleagues who may be struggling with their mental health.
Improve workplace wellbeing: Through supporting you in developing your wellbeing policies, designing and delivering bespoke and accredited training options and empowering Workplace Wellbeing Champions throughout your organisation we can make a real lasting change.
I firmly believe that there is more we can all do to learn more about mental health and suicide, and that this knowledge will lead to safer communities and workplaces. Places where people are able to bring their whole selves with them wherever they may be.
I want to live in a world where people are able to access the support they need at a time they need it.
Without barriers and without shame.
I am hoping that by working together we can achieve this.
I am thrilled you are here and I can't wait to take you on this journey with me!
Holly x
