Face to Face or Virtual Delivery
Course Aim
The Workplace Mental Health Aware half-day training is designed to raise awareness of mental health. It provides participants with an introductory understanding of what mental health is, some common mental health issues and how to look after their own mental health and maintain wellbeing.
Impact of Training
Through increased awareness of mental health, and strategies to support colleagues and self, this will lead to whole organisation shifts in attitudes towards mental ill health.
Course Content
On this four hour course participants will be able to:

Describe what is meant by the terms mental illness and mental health.

Identify the most common mental health diagnosis

Recognise some of the symptoms of the most common mental illnesses

List the risk factors that may contribute to the development of a mental health problem.

Challenge some of the stereotypes and stigma associated with the term mental illness

Identify ways of looking after your own mental wellbeing
-
Discuss recovery for those experiencing mental illness

This is a 4 hour course delivered either face-to-face or virtually

Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities

We limit numbers to 25 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn

Cost
MHFA England value this course at £125 per person.
We are able to offer the full course at a subsidised cost of £100 per person.
In-house courses are priced at £2200 for a maximum of 25 participants.
